I picked up this pen for my dad from my middle school stationery shop when I was about 13. He was in the army then and about to head out on a field posting, so I wanted to give him something to carry a piece of home with him.

Shape Shift
I first spotted this pen in my middle school’s store and was instantly drawn to its bold geometric patterns and vivid colors—middle-school me couldn’t resist adding it to my collection. Those sharp angles always reminded me of math, so it quickly became my trusty companion for tackling equations… or at least for giving them a good try.

I’d just started learning golf back in India, but since moving to Pasadena I haven’t had a chance to tee off. So I picked up this pen—complete with a mug and tiny balls—that doubles as a mini golf game. It’s yet another playful addition to my ever-growing pen collection.
